Celestron’s CGX-L Computerized Equatorial Mount is the latest addition to its fully computerized equatorial mount lineup. Designed to support Celestron’s largest optical tubes with ease, the CGX-L is ideal for backyard observatories and remote imagers seeking an exceptional load capacity-to-weight ratio, compact design, and innovative features capable of supporting large telescopes, advanced imaging setups, and the latest wireless technology accessories. The CGX-L features larger 144mm-diameter worm wheels, providing smoother operation and more precise drive performance when handling heavier loads. Its extended 270mm dovetail saddle offers enhanced support for larger optical tubes, while remote-operation-friendly features such as home and limit optical sensors make the mount well suited for automated and remotely controlled setups. Additional improvements include easier polar alignment adjustments and enhanced cable management for a cleaner, more organized setup. Celestron has also incorporated mechanical and ergonomic refinements throughout the mount, making it sturdier, easier to operate, and more convenient to transport.
