Celestron CGX-L Computerized Mount and Tripod
The Celestron CGX-L Computerized Equatorial Mount is the latest addition to Celestron's fully computerized equatorial mount family, engineered to support large optical tubes, advanced imaging systems, and demanding observatory applications. Designed for backyard observatories and remote astrophotographers, the CGX-L delivers an impressive combination of high load capacity, compact dimensions, ergonomic operation, and modern connectivity. At the heart of the CGX-L are its larger 144mm-diameter worm wheels, designed to provide smoother operation and more precise drive performance when handling heavier telescope loads. A longer 270mm dovetail saddle provides additional support for larger optical tubes, while improved polar alignment adjustments make setup more convenient. The CGX-L is also engineered with remote operation in mind. Home and limit optical sensors, improved cable management, and compatibility with modern wireless technology help create a cleaner and more practical setup for advanced imaging systems. Mechanical and ergonomic refinements throughout the mount make it sturdier, easier to operate, and easier to transport. Whether you're building a backyard observatory or setting up a remote imaging system, the CGX-L is designed to provide the strength, precision, and flexibility required for large telescope configurations.
