Celestron PowerSeeker 80AZ Short Refractor Telescope

Explore the night sky and the world around you with the Celestron PowerSeeker 80, a portable short refractor telescope designed for both terrestrial and celestial viewing. Its compact design and lightweight telescope kit make it easy to take along for spontaneous observing sessions, outdoor adventures, or travel. With its 80mm aperture, the PowerSeeker 80 lets you explore the Moon, planets, star clusters, and brighter deep-sky objects such as the Orion Nebula and Andromeda Galaxy. For daytime use, the included erect-image star diagonal provides correctly oriented views, allowing the optical tube to function as a convenient spotting scope for terrestrial observation. Getting started is simple. The telescope and its accessories can be assembled in just a few minutes, even for first-time users. The adjustable tripod legs allow you to customize the viewing height or position the telescope on suitable raised surfaces such as a picnic table. Lightweight, portable, and easy to set up, the PowerSeeker 80 is ready whenever an opportunity to observe comes along.

Manual Alt-Azimuth telescope

Navigate the sky with a panning handle Alt-Az control with clutch for smooth and accurate pointing. Move the clutch in an up/down, left/right fashion to track your object in the eyepiece.

Accessories Included

The PowerSeeker 80 comes with two eyepieces (20mm and 4mm), a erect image diagonal, 3x Barlow lens, and a finderscope.  The two eyepieces offer different magnifications to view your intended object. For even more magnification, connect your 3x Barlow lens to triple the power of each eyepiece. The erect image diagonal allows for right-side-up viewing ideal for terrestrial subjects but can also be used for celestial objects. The finderscope will help you quickly center an object in your eyepiece for easier observing.
