Celestron EclipSmart Universal Solar Filter - 75mm to 100mm OD

Turn your telescope, spotting scope, or DSLR camera into a solar viewing system with the Celestron EclipSmart Universal Solar Filter. Designed for safe and convenient viewing of the Sun and solar eclipses, this affordable and easy-to-use filter conforms to the ISO 12312-2:2015(E) international safety standard. The filter features a 60mm solar aperture and fits optics or camera lenses measuring 75–100mm in diameter, including telescopes, spotting scopes, and DSLR lenses. Adjustable side panels and included rubber bands provide a snug, secure fit. When not in use, the filter can be folded flat and stored in the reusable bag. For DSLR use, a lens sunshade is recommended to provide a more secure attachment. A tripod, monopod, or other stabilizing support is also recommended. The filter may be used intermittently for extended periods, but the camera should not be pointed directly at the Sun for more than three continuous minutes. Important: Never use this filter with a camera that has an optical viewfinder. The filter must always be attached directly to the camera lens and never placed between your eye and the viewfinder. Low-tack painter’s tape can also be used to help secure the filter to your optical equipment without damaging its surface.
