The Celestron Hummingbird Micro ED Spotting Scope combines a compact design with convenient portability, making it ideal for birdwatchers and outdoor enthusiasts. Inspired by the hummingbird’s small size, agility, and ability to travel long distances, this spotting scope is suitable for adventures far from home as well as wildlife observation in your own backyard. Designed for travel, the Hummingbird easily fits into a pocket, shoulder bag, or carry-on luggage. Its lightweight, compact construction makes it a convenient alternative to a full-size spotting scope for traveling birdwatchers. At its lowest magnification, it can also serve as a practical substitute for binoculars, giving you versatile viewing in a portable package

ED Objective Lenses

Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass virtually eliminates chromatic aberration, also known as color fringing, a visual defect common in binoculars. Hummingbird ED delivers edge-to-edge sharpness with excellent color correction and razor-sharp images. Not all ED glass is created equal. Celestron’s high quality ED glass delivers visibly brighter, sharper images compared to non-ED binoculars. The difference is especially apparent in low light conditions, such as at dawn or dusk.

The Waterproof / Nitrogen filled construction of the Hummingbird keep it protected against wet weather, humid conditions, and other environmental challenges. The durable armor works to keep the Hummingbird protected against bumps and jolts both during transport and in the field. The Hummingbird is tripod / monopod / window mount adaptable providing a variety of options for viewing. This spotting scope can easily be secured to a stable platform for comfortable long-duration or long-distance viewing.
