Celestron Counterweight Advanced VX - 11 lb
The counterweight helps balance your telescope’s optical tube assembly (OTA) and accessories on the opposite side of the Right Ascension (RA) axis. If you add accessories such as a camera or guider, you may need additional counterweights to maintain proper balance. An unbalanced telescope can damage the optical tube, mount, or motor gears and may affect tracking accuracy. Adding counterweights can also improve system responsiveness by reducing inertia. Make sure to space the counterweights properly along the shaft to help protect your setup. This counterweight features a sturdy, knurled locking knob to keep it securely in place. It is designed to fit 19 mm counterweight shafts.
