The Celestron CGX-L Computerized Equatorial Mount is engineered for serious astronomers, backyard observatories, and remote imagers who need the strength and precision to support large optical tubes and demanding astrophotography setups. As the latest addition to Celestron’s computerized equatorial mount series, the CGX-L combines high load capacity, a compact design, and advanced features to provide a capable foundation for large telescopes, imaging equipment, and modern wireless accessories. At the heart of the CGX-L are its larger 144mm-diameter worm wheels, designed to provide smoother operation and more accurate drive performance when handling heavier loads. The CGX-L is also designed with remote operation in mind. Integrated home and limit optical sensors make automated operation more practical, while improved polar alignment adjustments simplify setup and alignment.
