Celestron CPC 800 GPS Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope
Experience exceptional optical performance in a telescope designed to deliver impressive deep-sky views without sacrificing portability. The Celestron CPC Deluxe 800 HD combines an 8-inch aperture with Celestron’s advanced EdgeHD aplanatic Schmidt-Cassegrain optical system, giving you the resolving power needed to observe faint celestial objects while remaining manageable for one person to handle. At the heart of the CPC Deluxe 800 HD is the EdgeHD optical system, engineered to produce sharp, high-resolution images across the entire field of view. Celestron’s StarBright XLT optical coatings further enhance light transmission and reflectivity across the visual spectrum, helping produce brighter images with excellent contrast and natural color.
The combination of EdgeHD optics and StarBright XLT coatings helps minimize common optical issues such as field curvature, aberrations, and off-axis coma. The result is a wider, flatter field with crisp detail from the center toward the edges—ideal for both visual observation and demanding astronomical applications. The telescope is paired with a dual-fork-arm, motorized alt-azimuth mount featuring Celestron’s intuitive SkyAlign alignment technology. Simply center three bright celestial objects, and SkyAlign helps determine the telescope’s position automatically. The included NexStar hand controller provides access to a database containing more than 40,000 celestial objects, making it easy to explore planets, stars, galaxies, nebulae, and other deep-sky targets. Whether you're exploring the Moon and planets or searching for distant galaxies and nebulae, the CPC Deluxe 800 HD delivers a powerful combination of aperture, optical precision, and computerized convenience.
